The new 3.0 V6 Turbo Diesel engine is a leap forward in terms of technology and refinement. With 2,000 bar injectors and the latest common rail injection system, this engine is extremely smooth and flexible and therefore a great base for tuning. These engines come mated to automatic gearboxes which means kickdown occurs below 2,000rpm, this is the reason for the lower than quoted torque figures as peak torque is around 1,800rpm yet the auto gearbox wont allow this. We develop all of our software on the rolling road to ensure accuracy in terms of both power delivery and also to ensure fuelling, boost pressures and exhaust gas temperatures are all within tolerance.
